Arts for Humanity! partners with the Santa Barbara Public Library

Arts for Humanity! is proud to announce our partnership with the Santa Barbara Public Library. Beginning this January, we provide inspiring creative arts opportunities to local youth at multiple library branches. These classes will be led by our talented Teaching Artist Judy Nilsen, the art activities include:

  • Lolligaggers: Using imagination to develop characters, paper bags become expressive puppets known as “lolligaggers”
  • Pocket Books: Stories are told through mini books, created by a combination of collage, stamping, and drawing
  • Book Mobiles: Experimentation takes the form of creating paper books out of used book pages then balancing them on a mobile structure
